Plan Your Own Wedding Now; Simple Weddings Make It Easy!

Congratulations on your engagement! Now that the excitement of the engagement has worn off, panic sets in "I have a whole wedding to plan!" Not to worry, if you decided to plan your own wedding the start keeping things on track by staying as organized as possible. Simple weddings make it easier to organize and keep your sanity. The last thing that a bride needs on her big day is any added stress.
It is best to start an organizing system to keep all of your wedding details in one place. The first step is to buy a binder at your local office supply store, make sure it has different sections to make organization easier for you. You should divide the areas in your binder for different parts of the wedding: the ceremony, photography, catering, entertainment, etc. Collect any ads, pictures, and ideas from magazines and print any helpful or interesting webpages and collect them in your binder.
The main thing is finding a filing system that works for you. If you will not remember to put things in a binder, than use a different method like envelopes or certain computer programs or applications on a smart phone.
Once you have thing organized it is time to start researching. Whether it is a special venue in mind, a certain caterer that has that to-die-for dessert, or the cellist that is impossible to get; giving yourself the time to plan your own wedding is essential to saving money and stress. Simple weddings make it even easier to streamline this process.
Now that you have researched the 'where', 'what', and 'why' of your wedding, it is time to execute that plan. Put down deposits if it required, sign any paperwork, meet any caterer and/or photographer.
There that wasn't so bad! Keep in mind though, even with simple weddings it is recommended that you have a wedding checklist, either mental, physical, or digital, especially if you are lacking organization skills. There are many wedding planning books out there to help you know what the next step in your planning process needs to be if you get lost along the way or are stalled on a particular part of the planning process.
Above all, remember to relax! It is your wedding, a happy time, not a time to be stressed out. That is the beauty of simple weddings, less stress and more fun!
